HEALTHCARE LINK is a not-for-profit, community investment organisation which recovers and redistributes surplus medical supplies and equipment ,with a dedication to a three-fold mission of environmental stewardship, job opportunity creation for the marginalised, and improving health in Africa.
HEALTHCARE LINK provides a commercial scale, environmentally responsible discarding 'donate-for reuse' route for unused medical supplies, surplus equipment & furnishings recovered from the UK Healthcare systems and supply chains . We collaborate with hospitals, health care supply companies and recycling partners in redirecting this still useful material away from landfill to increased RE-USE efforts via redistribution to, public health improvement efforts that serve the poorest segments of the population in Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi, DR Congo and Sierra Leone.
HEALTHCARE LINK, engages in strategic partnerships with professional asset management social firms, in creating work and training opportunities for the socially marginalised.Through these working partnerships, HEALTHCARE LINK has the capacity - expertise, staff, facilities to undertake the most complex stock clearance and refurbishing for RE-USE project as per the WEEE directive and waste strategy for England & Wales. Hospital institutions and donating Healthcare supply businesses can therefore benefit directly from tighter cost control, streamlined processes and quicker turnarounds.
Through the SPONSOR-A-CONTAINER-OF-HOPE Programme, HEALTHCARE LINK joins with corporate, foundation and individual partners , to assist in C.C.R (Corporate Citizenship Responsibility) and sustainable development in Africa.This programme provides a unique collaborative platform to sponsor the assembly and delivery of 40” ocean shipping containers, each delivering medical supplies and equipment with a value of up to £100,000 and sustaining hundreds and even thousands of lives.
